Wine Cellar Press is excited to announce the Order of Chaos contest!
What is the Order of Chaos Contest?
The Order of Chaos contest is a poetry contest to concoct a unique, wholly original poetic form and then write a poem using your new form.
What’s the prize?
$100 first-place prize.
$50 second-place prize.
$15 third-place prize
In addition, the aforementioned prize winners, along with 5 semi-finalists will have their works published in a special issue online.
How much does it cost?
The contest costs $3 to enter.
How do I enter?
You may purchase an entry from our Buy Me A Coffee Page.
The entry is called “Order of Chaos contest entry fee.”
Upon paying the fee, you will receive a confirmation message with a link to a google form. Filling out the google form completes your submission.
What do I submit?
For the submission itself, you’ll submit one document which will have:
- Up to 3 poems
- An explanation of your new forms.
Please submit up to 3 wholly original poems based around 3 wholly original forms that you have created.
No previously published works.
The poems may all be the same form or they may be different forms.
Please give a description of each form you use in your submission, and please identify your poetic forms if you use more than one.
What about email addresses and bios and cover letters?
The google form will also ask for your name, email address, and bio. Please fill those out on the form, but leave them off the document you attach.
When will the contest end?
The Contest will run from September 22nd to October 22nd. We will have decisions in November.
