Lily Rose

In the reflections of the world I see you and me,
In the empty streets late at night—
And tho you may be gone, our love remains, a tree.

In the vast, tempestuous sea,
and the sailor’s warm weathered smile—
In the reflections of the world I see you and me.

Up high, in the mountains of Italy
I remember how you laughed—
And tho you may be gone, our love remains, a tree.

Deep in the forests of Chile
and the rivers running wide—
In the reflections of the world I see you and me.

Back home in our cottage, I sometimes struggle to be.
Our living room is dying—
And tho you may be gone, our love remains, a tree.

So when my life seems to be empty
and the tv’s droning on—
In the reflections of the world I see you and me
And tho you may be gone, our love remains, a tree.
