Edward Michael Supranowicz

The Devil is a drama queen,
Likes violence
Boom boom bang bang quick
And blood and guts bloody flashy,
And the aftermath
Slow motion freeze frame agony.

The Devil is a song and dance man,
Has the Seven Deadlies
As his Seven Muses,
And they sing in screams,
And hate does a soft shoe
As anger and envy syncopate.

The devil is a fashion designer,
Dresses people
In righteous sartorial elegance,
Applies makeup just so,
Does a nip and tuck of plastic surgery
So that evil becomes gorgeous and glamorous.

The Devil is many things,
But is still the Devil –
Quite average.
Quite boring and mundane,
Shows up at family reunions,
Baby showers, and barbecues.
